Assistant (or Co-) Captain Participates in the final round of Divisional Judging.
Bilingual Judges Chair Recruits and trains the Bilingual Judges, typically 35 are needed.
Captain Responsible for one team of 5 judges. Participates in the final round of Divisional Judging.
Category Chair Chairs a particular Division & Category e.g. Junior Physical.
Co-Chair Many CWSF Judges in Chief work with a Co-Chair of Judging.
Computer Guru Familiar with all aspects of the software, and is able to work round its weaknesses.
Divisional Chiefs Chairs of each of the Divisions; seven Disciplinary and two Interdisciplinary.
Exhibit floor The area where students and judges meet for judges to interview the students about their projects.
Interdisciplinary Awards Chief Responsible for all aspects of the Interdisciplinary Awards Judging.
Judge in Chief, CWSF Responsible for all aspects of Judging
Judge in Chief, National Chair of the NJAC, and coach of the CWSF Judge in Chief.
Judges Do the actual Judging. They are not members of the Judging Committee.
Judging Committee The CWSF Judge in Chief; the six Divisional Chiefs; Interdisciplinary Awards Chief; Chair of Bilingual Judges; Registrar of Judges; Members of this committee usually do not judge.
Judges’ Break Out Area An area where the judges meet, isolated from the finalists, to discuss the projects.
NJAC National Judging Advisory Committee. Responsible for Judging Policy and Rules at the CWSF and for passing on the experience from previous CWSF's to the Host Committee.
Registrar Responsible for recording Judges information.
